Terms of Service
Last updated: April 20, 2026
Important Notice: Plumber Next-Door operates as a referral, dispatch, and subcontracting service. We connect customers with independent, licensed third-party plumbing contractors. Plumber Next-Door is not the entity performing the on-site plumbing work — all physical plumbing services are performed by the assigned independent contractor, who is solely responsible for the workmanship, materials, conduct, and outcome of the job.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting this website, requesting service, accepting a quote, or allowing a dispatched contractor to perform work at your property, you ("Customer", "you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Nature of Our Service
Plumber Next-Door is a marketing, lead-generation, scheduling, and subcontracting platform. We:
- Receive service requests from customers,
- Forward those requests to independent licensed plumbing contractors ("Contractors") who operate their own businesses, and
- May coordinate scheduling, intake, and payment processing on behalf of those Contractors.
3. No Liability for On-Site Work
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plumber Next-Door, its owners, officers, members, and affiliates are not liable for:
- Any property damage, water damage, mold, structural damage, or personal injury arising from the work, conduct, errors, omissions, or negligence of any independent Contractor;
- Defective workmanship, defective parts, code violations, missed diagnoses, or any failure of the installed/repaired plumbing system;
- Delays, no-shows, cancellations, or rescheduling by any Contractor;
- Any verbal representations, promises, warranties, or guarantees made by a Contractor that are not in a written agreement signed by Plumber Next-Door;
- Theft, loss, or damage to personal property at the job site;
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
4. Independent Contractor Relationship
Each Contractor is an independent business that:
- Holds their own State of Georgia plumbing license;
- Maintains their own general liability and workers' compensation insurance;
- Sets their own work standards, supplies their own tools and parts, and is solely responsible for their own employees and helpers;
- Is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable building codes, permits, OSHA standards, and federal, state, and local laws.
5. Estimates & Pricing
Diagnostic visit fees may apply and are disclosed before dispatch. Written or verbal estimates provided after diagnosis are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Final pricing may change if the Contractor discovers additional issues, hidden damage, or scope changes — any change will be communicated and re-authorized before additional work proceeds.
6. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the work unless a separate written agreement specifies otherwise. We accept the payment methods disclosed at the time of service. Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed by Georgia law and may be referred to collections. Customer agrees to pay all reasonable collection and attorney fees incurred.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service window to avoid a cancellation/dispatch fee. Refunds for completed work are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are the responsibility of the assigned Contractor.
8. Warranties & Disclaimers
Any workmanship warranty is provided solely by the Contractor who performed the work, on the terms stated on their invoice. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are passed through as-is. Plumber Next-Door makes no warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, regarding any work, parts, or services. The website and all information on it are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customer represents that they are the owner of the property or are authorized by the owner to request the service. Customer is responsible for: (a) providing safe, lawful access to the work area; (b) disclosing known hazards (asbestos, lead, mold, electrical issues, pets, etc.); (c) shutting off water/utilities if requested; and (d) accepting all risks associated with pre-existing conditions of the property's plumbing system.
10. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Plumber Next-Door, its owners, members, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from (a) the Customer's breach of these Terms, (b) the Customer's misuse of the plumbing system after service, or (c) any dispute between the Customer and the Contractor.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Georgia law, the total aggregate liability of Plumber Next-Door for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or any service request shall not exceed the dispatch/referral fee, if any, that Plumber Next-Door received in connection with the specific job at issue, or one hundred dollars (USD $100), whichever is less.
12. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Forsyth County, Georgia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The version posted on this page at the time you request service governs that service request.
